Use of Essential Oils
The Art and Science of French Based Aromatherapy
What are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are: Natural aromatic compounds found as a volatile liquid within plants (trees, shrubs, flowers, roots, bushes, seeds) and are considered to be the life blood of the plant as well as the immune system within the plant.
Essential oils are concentrates and thus are 70- 80 % more concentrated than herbal powders. Please note: Any herbal or essential oil/ aromatherapy is not a replacement for orthodox medical care, but as a support to maintain one's health and well-being.

" Essential oils are one of the highest known sources of anti-oxidants"

Historically essential oils were only used by indigenous
cultures worldwide. However it is important to recognize that an earlier form of ancient herbal medicine - essential oils of the plant kingdom – was more revered and cherished for their everyday life as well as for their medicinal properties.
The Egyptians were the first to discover and use essential oils for their physical needs, spiritual purposes, rituals in their temples for medicine and cosmetics. They were masters in using essential oils and many heiroglyphics on the walls of Egyptian temples depict the blending as well as numerous recipes.
Modern science today has proved & verified the potency and efficacy of essential oils.
Essential oils were used by the Egyptians for every aspect of their lifestyle as well as fragrances, to open the subconscious mind and increase the ability to communicate with the spirit world. They were used extensively for anointing and helping the sick. There are over a hundred references to aromatic uses in the Bible and other ancient texts.
